Wow. . . just skipping thru this real quick (at about 20 min) there is yet another VIDEO about MAKING VIDEOS.
This is clearly the message Jesus wants to get through to mankind in the very, very last days of the Last Days.

I would really like to read the thoughts of an evolutionist as they lie on their deathbed. . . . Their terrors. Their nightmares. Their fears.
My absolute worst deathbed fear would be that I wasted my life arguing over stupid shit with someone I don't even know on the internet.

I was in middle school (7th or 8th) grade, and I’m not sure whether it was a birthday or Christmas party or whatever, but since I wasn't allowed to participate, I was sent to the library to wait it out.
On the front desk of the school library, there was list of banned books/authors: Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain; Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger; Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury; and even The Bible.
Also listed was banned author Kurt Vonnegut (I don’t remember what book he was banned for).
Anyway, Vonnegut caught my eye, I went over to the fiction section and picked up the bright-orange colored book, Breakfast of Champions.
The book was an absolute trip. I had no idea that books this crazy even existed.
I kept reading Vonnegut from then on.
When I first woke up to the fact that I was in a cult, I wondered to myself, What do I really believe?
I thought, I think I believe in the same thing as Vonnegut, whatever that was.
I Googled Kurt Vonnegut, saw he was a Secular Humanist and thought, Yup, I think this is what I believe in.

Sorry, Simon. I read the article but I missed the part that said that people were hit and their family were hurt. My apologies. My reading comprehension was lacking there and my sarcasm button was working overtime.
I'm sorry, but I've read this article twice and am not seeing any mention of people being hit/injured in this incident.
Unless we now consider carts to be sentient beings since they can sing.

If assholes like this hate the world so much, why don't they just off themselves and leave the rest of us alone?
Amazing.

Why is the approval of family so important?
by jwfacts inone of the reasons people remain pimo is fear of losing family.
those that are disfellowshipped and shunned regularly comment about how devastated that they have lost the approval of their parents.. when i respond to emails from people saying how difficult it is being estranged or looked down on by their parents, i would like to say that over time they will come to terms with it, except i not sure that people ever do.
i cannot shake that feeling either.

I would not say that “family approval” or fear of losing family is the reason my wife continues to be (barely) PIMO. . . . it’s really just out of respect for her octogenarian parents (who we take care of). We just want to avoid “rocking the boat” if at all possible so they can live out their lives in relative peace.
My wife has expressed that as soon as her parents are gone, she will never step foot in a KH ever again, and would not shy from letting her siblings (and other family members) know exactly why.
I don’t think we’re at all worried about convincing anyone of anything. My wife and I are happy together, and I think what we’ve accomplished thus far is indeed something we can be proud of. If family members in the org recognize this, then my wife and I have provided a “good witness” by example. If not, we don’t really care.

The bizarreness of Genesis 6:2
by doubtfull1799 in"the sons of the true god began to notice that the daughters of men were beautiful.
so they began taking as wives all whom they chose.".
it may be feasible to some to accept the bible's assertion that the first humans were tempted to pursue independence from god, especially since they were created in his image and he is independent from any authority.
